It’s Friday already, can you believe that??! And they tell me it’s already July too! Lost track of time for a while there. If I had a dollar for every time I do that, bet you I’d have bought my dream house(with glass walls) in the mountains already! Like we were on the beach on 1st July, and I spent the entire day lost in the illusion that it was Sunday! Don’t blame me – too much – because aren’t Sundays the official beach days?? Well, in my part of the world they are. Because they are days to commune with creation and His Awesomeness, right?

Anyway, today I am absolutely delighted to present to you the full reveal from the sneak peek last time, and I present to youuu the Dashiki! (Linet, you must be grinning to yourself because you guessed right. Hmph! )

The Dashiki – vibrant, colourful, dramatic. A beautiful piece from African fashion.

I fell head over heels for this babe at first sight, and it’s been a beautiful love story ever since. I usually like to wear it as a standalone piece with minimal accessories, but chose to pair it with black distressed denim (of which I seem to have an endless number).

Check out the wings on the dress already! Batman, anybody?

Also, can we talk about those pointy wedgey strappy shoes?? I’m. In. Love.

Something about this dress always brings out the bohemian goofy side of me, oops.

Fotor_143588073009696ย And what’s with all that intensity here? Smh. ๐Ÿ˜›

And the end.

Make sure to check out the previous magical sneak peek shots with M (from the previous post) if you didn’t already!

Thanks for reading, lots of love and positivity to you. Happy new month!

It’s quiet, quieter than normal, because M is out with the noisemaker-in-chief, Alexander. Milan lays snuggled in the crook of my arm, asleep and yet unwilling to let go of me. But I don’t mind, because I like to hear his deep strong reassuring breaths as he sleeps.

I probably have only a few minutes before this place comes to noisy chaotic life again, so I’ll make this quick. We have a full packed day of visiting family today, and we fly to Ghana early next week, so I might be a little lacking with posts for a while (I hope not though.).

Today I’d like to share with you these beautiful shots M made of me yesterday at Margaretka (a local open children’s playground – it’s huuuuge).

We had a fun time shooting my outfit – At least I did, it’s always such a chore for M! (Or at least he likes to make me think so) – and then we tried some shots chasing the sun. So apt! Perfect description of us as a family. Seeking the light, always chasing the sun. May we never stop. Live life like it’s golden, because by God, it is. We are so blessed to be alive, to have those who love us, to love, to be surrounded by love. I am guilty of taking these for granted sometimes, and maybe you are too, but we really should appreciate every minute of it. Because who knows what we might have tomorrow, and what might be taken away? So appreciate, Cara, appreciate. And then, appreciate it some more!

Can you guess what I was wearing?

See you on the next post!

Hello Slovakia!

Where have your so-called tropical days gone?? That’s what lured me here weeks earlier than planned. But now, it’s been so cccold for the past few days! You know what this is called??! False advertising! I could sue you for this!

In the meantime, this is what I’m wearing to keep warm. That is, when I make it outside. Most of the time I’m huddled in my room daydreaming of the beach in Ghana. Hehe ๐Ÿ˜› The weather has been pretty erratic – looks like rain most of the time, and I actually got caught in the rain once.

Very basic wear (talk about the style recluse!), but very memorable, because this is what I was wearing the day I apparently caused a traffic accident! The poor guy was ogling so much he fell off his bicycle at the traffic light. Probably his first time seeing a woman of colour. Apparently I’m the only coloured person most people around here have ever seen.

Fancy that!

Anyways, hope y’all enjoying your week so far. Happy hump day!

Aaaah Sun! (Most of my outfits are shot on the go, so the kids will be making an appearance every now and then…)

Ripped jeans – Mr Price, Necklace – H&M, Shoes – Legon, Bag – C&A, Ankara belt – Biggles Kreations

Ciao! See you on the next post.
